Three-hour webinar including theoretical presentations with clinical examples and discussions with participants.
Goals
- Recognize more quickly the signs of the presence of pathological personality issues in clients/users by observing their behaviors;
- Understand the pitfalls and obstacles that the psychological and behavioral functioning of these people creates in the psychosocial rehabilitation process and in their lives;
- Understand the concept of the compensatory (pathological) relational mode, which enables people to maintain a certain level of functioning by anesthetizing their painful emotions;
- Understand the emotional and cognitive disturbance that this psychological and behavioral functioning creates in the therapist;
- Be introduced to more productive communication and intervention styles, in the context of psychotherapy or psychosocial rehabilitation, according to the different pathological personality issues.

- Emotional contagion and typical emotional reactions induced in the therapist;
- How the compensatory relational mode derails the therapeutic relationship;

- The trio of essential ingredients for intervention: self-regulation, empathy and reality;
- Examples of intervention in a psychosocial rehabilitation context;
